Snug As A Magpie Tale

She was sure she had read the knitting pattern correctly, yet the arm holes were in the wrong places and the less said about the neck the better.

Still she sat there for an hour keeping warm until her husband came home with the scissors and, before freeing her remarked, "Darling, you look like the love-child of The Clangers.

As Nora Ephron wrote, "I feel bad about my neck." :-)

hahaha the thought of her sitting there stuck in the sweater all day...and the husband getting his remark in before cutting her loose...lol...probably a wise idea....

This is SO good. So concise, yet two apt and telling thoughts wrapped up in it. Congrats.

Very funny.
What a strange idea to parcel someone up like that.
And somebody must have done the knitting to start with.
